Saturday is our day for engagement picture inspiration! Today’s engagement shoot could be something straight out of a high end fashion magazine. This gorgeous couple knows how to strike a pose and when thinking about taking your engagement pictures really study other engagement pictures, poses, outfits and photographic style. Make sure to talk to your photographer about what style of pictures you are looking for and don’t be afraid to be creative. Just because you haven’t seen it on Pinterest before doesn’t mean it’s a bad idea. Be original and let the pictures represent who you are as a couple. Photographer: Fia Forever Photography
We are loving this unique and creative farm engagement shoot captured by Ian Andrew Photography. From the horse to the tractor to supporting the American flag this shoot has it all. And of course if you have the talent to cut the top off of a champagne bottle with a sword then why wouldn’t you include that in your shoot as well! We hope this helps you with some ideas for your own engagement shoot. I love how the shoot starts out in casual clothes and as the night gets later the suit and dress come on. So many options.
Never let the rain ruin your day. Maybe you should plan your engagement pictures in the rain? These pictures are beautiful and amazing! LauraMae Photography did an amazing job capturing this couple in the rain. Add an umbrella, some amazing lighting and a night full of rain, OMG look what you get.

Here is the story on how the couple met:
Zach and Andrea met in Downtown Denver at 1670 Broadway on January 17th, 2011. Andrea had just begun a job as a property assistant with Cushman & Wakefield, the same company Zach was working for as a building engineer. On her introductory tour, Andrea was introduced to all of the members of building she would be working with. Zach had come by the Management Office for something unrelated. They briefly talked for a couple of minutes and Andrea found out that Zach had also attended the same college she had recently graduated from, CU Boulder. From there, Andrea settled into her job and more and more Zach began to visit her office for random reasons. They began talking more often. When Andrea decided that the job wasn’t going to work for her, she gave her two weeks. Zach realized this was his chance to get her phone number. The Friday before the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, he came into her office and asked her if she had any plans. She mentioned she had planned on attending with a friend of hers. He awkwardly wrote his number on a pink sticky note, slapped it on her desk, instructed her to call him if she was in Denver and awkwardly walked out.
They never ended up meeting for the parade but began exchanging texts. As Andrea’s time came to a close at work, Zach asked her if she wanted to grab a drink after work. They spent a couple of evenings talking for hours after work. Her last day came and went and Zach had decided to go to the Rockies Season Opener. After a couple of days, Zach had called and asked if he could take her out on an actual date. Their first date was April 8, 2011 at Centro Latin Kitchen in Boulder. They have been together ever since.
Proposal Story:
In September 2012, Zach and Andrea took a vacation to her parent’s house in San Diego with their friends Britta (Maid of Honor) and John Meyer. The vacation was an incredibly relaxing week spent laying on the beach, eating and shopping. Britta and John left to go home and Zach and Andrea had one last night before they left to return home. They weren’t sure what to do with that last night but decided to visit nearby Shelter Island, CA after hearing about the island from her Aunt Joann. Andrea had been visiting San Diego her whole life and had never heard of the island so they were both excited to check it out. They decided on a Polynesian restaurant called Bali Hai. After dinner, they went on a walk along the shore facing the skyline of downtown San Diego. The view was perfect against the dark bay. The shore was perfect, peaceful and secluded. And, as you can probably guess… this is when Zach proposed to Andrea!

Remember to come and Napa tomorrow for the Luxury Wedding Show! 12:00pm to 4:00opm at the Meritage Resort and Spa.
This has to be one of our favorite engagement pictures ever! It leaves us saying “How did they do that?” These unique engagement photos were captured by Renaissance Studios Photography. It has to be one of the most unique engagement pictures I have seen. The details in the photo are amazing. “Carly & Mike…Domestic Chaos. They came to me with a concept: capture the craziness of our lives, raising our son, becoming engaged, feeding the dog…in one photo. It became “Domestic Chaos” – with a more traditional urban engagement in their neighborhood to fill in the blanks.” explains Shawn Van Daele of Renaissance Studios Photography. It really is the perfect title for the shoot.
We had to share this adorable styled engagement shoot called “The Journey.” This styled engagement shoot was photographed by William Innes Photography. The bride and groom styled the shoot them self and it was photographed over two days. We love the many different looks they did with the shoot from the photos with the horse and luggage to the glamorous roadside photos in the sequin evening gown. Black leather is also a great look for a shoot as well. We hope you get inspired to think outside the box when it comes to planning your styled engagement shoot.
Paramount Studios Engagement Shoot, who doesn’t dream of that? Dylan and Christine got to relive some of Hollywood’s most famous movies on the Paramount Studios set and we are totally jealous! Here is what their photographer had to say:
“Dylan and Christine met while working for CBS. Since they have both worked on the Paramount Studios Lot, that is where they chose to have their engagement shoot. We started their session at Dylan’s house. The house is located about a block south of the main gate for Paramount Studios. Dylan and Christine are huge San Diego Chargers fans, and so is their dog Cappuccino, so we started out the day getting shots of them all enjoying some football. After a quick wardrobe change we headed over to New York Street on the Paramount Lot, then to the Paramount Theater and then back to NY Street for some Film Noir inspired shots. Such a fun day!” – Says Rustin Cerveny of Rustin Michael Photographers.
Today’s Trend Setting Tuesday is all about simplicity and a Breakfast in Bed Engagement Shoot. Not everything has to always be so glitz and glamorous. We are seeing a lot more simplicity style shoots to really help show who the bride and groom really are. Sure you can dress up and do something fun that you don’t normally do but we wanted to show you this adorable shoot and how it really captures this couple. Who knew your everyday routines and something as simple as breakfast in bed can tell such a great story through the camera lens.
Here is what the photographer had to say: “We had a fantastic time shooting Carlotta and Andrea’s beloved session! Carlotta’s mum is the owner of “Pentolino”, a famous shop in Bologna, well known for the original stuff it sells, so their house was full of beautiful details we were really happy to photograph! The atmosphere was cozy and spontaneous, Carlotta and Andrea are such a cute couple and they were so willing to do anything! We started with some portraits and then they let us photograph them during a pillow fight – who knew so many feathers could come out of one pillow!” says Serena Cevenini of A click for two of Bologna Italy.

Inspiration for this engagement shoot came from Stephanie’s tattoo of a hot air balloon. This hot air balloon engagement shoot was full of vintage style, passion & a perfect afternoon. The photographer told this artistic duo to bring a few of their favorite things with them; which included red wine, grandma’s quilt & fresh fruit. Thank you to Ace Photography for sharing this retro hot air balloon engagement shoot with us. We love it!
Today we bring you some Twilight Themed Engagement photos that are amazing. We love when Edward and Bella lay in the field and it’s so cute that this couple captured the same feel. These pictures turned out gorgeous and we hope you get inspired to think outside the box with your engagement photos. Thank you to Manda Jean Photography for submitting this pictures. Here is what they had to say about the Twilight Themed Engagement photos:
“This is a fairytale romance with a small-town charm. This engagement session is one of my favorites! Working with these two was amazing and photographing them was even better. It’s crazy how easy your job can become when two people are so in love with each other and all you really have to do is stand back and document. The Bride-to-be wanted a beautiful gallery to go along with the wonderful life that she is about to start. I may have taken these images but the genuine and loving nature these two had for each other was evident before I even picked up the camera.” – said Manda Cmar Rohde of Manda Jean Photography
Today we share with you an adorable baseball engagement shoot that took place in Florida. Here is what the photographer had to say:
“For their engagement session, they decided to do something different and incorporate one of their interest into their pictures. Justin is a big Milwaukee Brewers baseball fan. I was able to reserve some time for our photo shoot at the former Red Sox spring training Stadium in Fort Myers, FL. Wedding planner Along Came Stephanie helped us style the shoot on location. The couple brought along some bats, gloves, and even a jersey. Like many couples planning destination weddings, Justin and Amber had scheduled a trip from out of town to plan their Naples wedding. They only had one day on the schedule for their engagement session, and they ended up getting a cloudy day — we even had some rain… but I think the rainbow made up for it!” Joe Capasso of Joe Capasso Photography.

How cute is this Retro Engagement shoot by Siegel Thurston Photography. Here is what the photographer had to say about this styled retro engagement shoot:
“We just can’t say enough good things about Diana and JB. They are high school sweethearts that went their separate ways when Diana headed off for college and fate threw them back together one Christams break a few years later. They thrived and survived long distance from LA to Santa Barbara and then finally got the chance to move back to their home town of San Diego. Six wonderful years together and JB finally proposed to Diana on a beautiful cliff side over looking the city of Santa Barbara. We were extremely excited to work with Diana and JB on their Engagement shoot especially knowing they wanted something a little unique and different. A couple bottles of Champagne and several planning sessions later a retro engagement shoot on the beach was settled upon. It was only appropriate that this fantastic engagement shoot take place on their old stomping grounds of La Jolla at Windansea Beach. Diana found the cutest polka dot bathing suit and styled JB in cloths from the back of his father’s closet. Erin from HALL EVENTS put together phenomenal propping for the shoot and came along to style it. To top off the retro fun, there were classic Coke bottles, a seriously cool old cooler, hearts on sticks, and we can’t forget the Bocce. It was a beautiful San Diego day full of romance and beach fun. This was one of the most fun Engagement shoots we have done yet thanks to everyone involved”, explained Brett Siegel of Siegel Thurston Photography.
Today we bring you these adorable Florida Engagement Photos from A Million Sighs Photography. Here is what the photographer had to say about these Florida Engagement Photos:
Eve and Don’s engagement session started off a bit rocky. Anyone that has spent more than a few days in Florida, knows that our weather can be a little… unpredictable. The skies were looking nice and blue as we traveled from Orlando to Jupiter, Florida to meet up with Eve and Don at the pier. We got there early so we could grab lunch and get acquainted with the location. By the time lunch was over, the sky was getting dark and menacing. Since we were meeting them out of town, there was no simple way to reschedule our session, so I sat and prayed and hoped that the rain would keep away. The *exact* moment of our meeting time, the sky decides to open up. Luckily, it wasn’t the drenching down pour we so often get, but it was enough rain to mess up hair and destroy cameras if exposed for too long. We decided to start our session under the protection of the Juno Beach Pier. I am happy to report that just as our rain is unpredictable, we can almost always count on it not lingering for too long, so when the rain turned into a mist, we were able to brave the open air. Eve and Don were troopers, and I think we ended up with some special photos to commemorate their engagement. – Christine O’Connell of A Million Sighs Photography.

Today we feature a cute couple and their Petaluma engagement photos. We like to help you with inspiration for planning your engagement pictures. Here is what the Photographer had to say. “Randy and Ashlee met 4 years ago and share the love of food and music. So for their engagement session we hit the downtown area of Petaluma, a place they often hang out and enjoy one of their favorite restaurants, Willie’s Seafood. We then strolled over to a local park around the corner where Ashlee pulled out her favorite book, Harry Potter and Randy listened to some music and I just sat back and captured an everyday moment of these two totally enjoying each other. We finished the day off at a candy store in Petaluma and they had some fun reenacting their proposal with a ring pop and testing their love on the love meter! Petaluma engagement photos are always a lot of fun.” explains Donna from Donna Beck Photography.
This super good looking couple fell in love at first sight at their job. They both work at the Excalibur show, Tournament of the Kings in Las Vegas.
