You Can’t Help but Love a Great Photo Booth!

Poster on April 17th, 2012

The new must-have wedding trend has to be the reception photo booth! Looking for a 3 for 1 deal? Photo booths deliver endless reception entertainment, memorable wedding favors, and you can even use the duplicate pictures for a scrapbook/guestbook for yourself! Now we’re not talking about just your average black and white picture booth in the mall, you’re now able to choose from a variety of companies providing options to personalize a booth using themed backdrop, add fun props for pictures, or even use a live photographer to capture quality photos. Your guests will love the freedom of setting up their own photo shoot while offering the privacy needed to really let loose and show off their personality. Not to mention, the speed in which the pictures are printed and delivered offers that immediate satisfaction that everyone has come to expect. Pair the printout with a cute picture frame and guests will be leaving with the perfect keepsake wedding favor to help remember your big day!

Classic Style Photo Booth: When it comes to quality, 2-seater classic booths, we love Rocket Booths by Profinish Design (find their information in our Wedding Binder). Rocket Booths maintain that classic old-style photo booth nostalgia we all  remember, while using updated, modern technology.

Personalized Photo Booth: Transform an ordinary booth into a buzz-worthy addition to your event with a personalized design such as a customized booth by Oh Snap!

Live Photographer Booth: Forget the timer and shoot at your own speed with a professional’s assistance! This larger style booth (or curtained space) ensures quality photos, allows for retakes, and can accommodate a greater number of guests in one photo session with the help of a real photographer behind the camera.

The Laugh Box even offers guests the creative option to turn a short video clip into a small 60 page flip-book in less then 90 seconds!

Get creative with silly props like The Goodness Photography uses in their booth below.

Print a duplicate of each picture for guests to scrapbook or use to sign your guest book, giving you a chance to see what your guests have been up to all night!

Whitney Oaks Wedding- Purple and Green

Posted April 16th, 2012

This gorgeous wedding was submitted by Shoot’s Photography and has beautiful details we can’t wait to share. We love how the bride incorporated different shades of purple and different styles for all the bridesmaids. The favors were DIY succulent in cute little tin buckets that also served as the  name tags for the tables. We asked the bride what her favorite moment of the day was and she said “When I first turned to walk down the aisle and saw Kevin’s smile.  I knew that I was about to start the most amazing chapter of my life as his wife.” The beautiful golf course at Whitney Oaks served as the backdrop for this gorgeous wedding.

Blue Suitcase Engagement Shoot

Posted Saturday April 14th, 2012

These adorable engagement pictures were captured by Michelle Johnson Photography Julie and Chris love to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Julie loves to decorate and she brought along some romantic props. Most belonged to her grandmother and the blue suitcase is really special because it belonged to her late Father. Chris brought along his favorite wine and they chose a book to read love stories aloud. The couple is getting married in the fall at a vineyard in Temecula so their photographer Michelle Johnson found the perfect location to compliment their vineyard wedding. The old rock building and fields of love were the perfect spot to relax, read a book and share a glass of their favorite wine. We hope you get some great ideas and inspiration for ways you can bring personal items to your engagement shoot.

You don’t want to lose your garter to a bunch of boozed up apes. Keep the one you wear during your wedding as a keepsake. You can always give it to your hubby as a gift or keep it as a wedding souvenir.

What a cute idea! These super adorable design squares have so many great uses! We like them best on the bottom of a Hershey Kiss. All you do is simply print, cut and enjoy. They are sent as 1 PDF sheet with 70 1 inch squares. You can also use these as stickers for the candy bag, your wedding invitation, menus…the options are endless!

#4 Rhinestone Wedding Sash

I don’t know about you, but I have been the witness of 2 brides wearing the same dress in the same summer. Not a huge deal when you think about it, but doesn’t every bride want to be a one-of-a-kind? There are so many dresses available, how do 2 women pick the same dress? Well believe me, it happens. If you love that simple gown, but want to make sure it can’t be duplicated, add something special to it. This wedding sash is classy, elegant and just the thing to make your dress unique.

#5 Flower Bridesmaid Necklaces

Do you have a unique set of colors for your wedding? Maybe your wedding pallet is based on a theme. Sometimes it is hard to find bridesmaid dresses or jewelry that perfectly matches the colors you are looking for. Use a neutral color for all bridesmaids and have them each wear a different colored necklace. Maybe use black dresses of their choice and spice it up with individual colors. The options are endless and the retro style is sure to be a hit.

Go Wild with Tribal

Posted on April 10th, 2012

A huge trend taking over runways for Spring and Summer fashions are the bold and vibrant tribal patterns. The Tribal trend consists of colorful, strong graphic prints that can definitely make a statement on any occasion. Possibly the most popular of these prints is the cheerful Ikat pattern. So you’re wondering what’s this Ikat business? Originally Ikat was a textile pattern created through a thread dying process and was traditionally found in South-east Asia, but now with modern technology Ikat is popping up everywhere from Target to Anthropology. Let these fun patterns inspire you to liven up your wedding decor and rock the Tribal look this Spring!

Happy Easter!

Posted on Sunday April 8th, 2012

From all of us at Engaged Now What? we wish you a very Happy Easter. Please travel safely and have a wonderful Sunday.

Photos By Carmen Salazar Photography

We would like to take a moment to honor our Nanny who loved to celebrate Easter. Well she loved to celebrate it because only once a year did Hershey’s release their Candy Coated Mike Chocolate Eggs. Here favorite candy ever! She would buy out all the bags at the store and then would keep them in her freezer to enjoy all year round. You would open the freezer door and there would be 30 bags of Heresy Eggs every time. She always had a sweet tooth for life and we miss her very much.
