Today we bring you an adorable 1940’s styled wedding shoot. This pre-wedding styled shoot took place on location at an Old Railway Station in Tintern Monmouthshire in United Kingdom. Laura and Andrew, who are having a vintage wedding in May, dressed head to toe in 1940’s elegance for their styled pre-wedding shoot. We love the vintage style up-do and 1940’s styled makeup. There were so many extra special touches from the vintage suitcases to the gorgeous dresses Laura wore through out the shoot. They braved the rain to get some lovely images of the soon to be newlyweds. Thank you to Charlene Morton Photography for sharing these amazing images.

Love motorcycles? Emily and Noel do, their vintage motorcycle engagement session started on Noel’s engagement gift from Emily which was a beautiful vintage BMW motorbike. They continued the shoot to the Funk Zone of Santa Barbara and then to the retro wine bar called Red’s. They ended the session at Mercury Lounge to play a little pool and take some unique pictures. Their wedding will be at an industrial area of Santa Barbara mixing a mid-century feel with rockabilly, including beautiful classic cars as the background to a photo booth. Thank you to Bycherry Photography for sharing this fun engagement shoot.

If you’re looking for the hottest new wedding trends then we have an amazing blog for you today! Every other year Hartmann Studios holds one of the most amazing industry events of the year. Getting invited to this event is like getting an invitation to an Oscar Party. The top professionals in the area are invited to see their newest collection, visualize the 2013 wedding trends and learn that truly anything is possible for an event. I was very excited to be invited this year.
The event took place at Fort Mason Center in San Francisco. This is typically an empty warehouse space that Hartmann Studios does an amazing job at transforming. They are truly spectacular at what they do and are considered the high end event rental company of Northern California. If you can’t find what you’re looking for with them then they can build it or custom create something for you. The opportunities are endless. This is the type of event that showcases that anything is possible and allows your creativity to run wild. This year they designed the ten vignettes all after some pretty amazing ladies. We are so excited to share inside the event with you so you can see these hot trends and hopefully see what Hartmann can do for your next event. Thank you to Orange Photography for taking amazing pictures at the event. (FYI I included some of my images taken from my IPHONE, so the images that don’t look high quality are mine). If you like this post and the ideas, make sure to share the link on your Facebook or Twitter and spread the word. Thanks.
Fort Mason Center before decor
This is the very dramatic entrance where we registered for our name tags. We love the false ceiling above.
VIANNA ROCHER
This candy inspired vignette was designed with Vianne Rocher in mind. Vianne is the main character from the movie Chocolat with Johnny Depp. The centerpiece had rock candy hanging from the branches and lots of pops of colors. Tout Sweet Patisserie in SF served gourmet chocolates and desserts from the stylish counter.
SCARLETT O’HARA
We all love Gone with the Wind and this table was designed for the southern bell Scarlett O’Hara. Hartmann Studios has a huge green house and offers large hedges, plants and trees for your events. We love the hedge backdrop for this table. The gorgeous lanterns over head were also pretty spectacular.
ALICE from Alice in Wonderland
What a fun table this was. Alice in Wonderland was such a hot theme a couple of years ago when the movie came out but we are seeing this theme pop up more and more now. The green grass and tea party like setting could be incorporated into a shower or day time wedding. Who doesn’t want to sit at this table with a group of friends and have a great time. We love the Eat Me cupcakes at each place setting too.
JULIA CHILD
You have to read this in your best Julia Child impersonation. This bright yellow setting is country clutter at its best. The adorable farmers market setting behind the table is filled with lanterns, produce and desserts. I can see Julia standing behind it now saying Bon Appétit!
P!NK
Having just gone to her concert in San Jose last month I’m kind of obsessed with everything P!NK right now so this was probably my favorite room. This one is for the true Rock Star. Behind the table was a huge screen that had a rear projector playing all of P!NK’s music videos. The black dresser had some amazing vases with corset style wraps on them. The chairs in the lounge even spelled out P-I-N-K on the back of them. The chain ball curtains hanging over the table were so cool. We think this would be a great bachlorette party theme or even a really cool idea for a cocktail party at a wedding. Do you have a favorite artist that you can design a room around for your wedding?
ARIEL
Under the sea was the theme for this vignette but also there was a lot of focus on the food since Wolfgand Puck Catering was serving in this vignette. Yummy! The nautical look is always a fun look especially for a beach wedding. We loved the coral projected pattern on the white curtain. Hartmann definitely has some of the nicest draping in the state. It always looks perfect and they take great care of it.
KATNISS
Who is super excited for the second Hunger Games movie to come out? This room is based off of Jennifer Lawrence’s character Katniss and has a really cool bulls eye backdrop with 150 arrows sticking out of it. We also love the round shaped chairs in this room as well. This was very modern and lots of fun.
MARY CRAWLEY
This is for all you Downtown Abbey fans out there. This show has taken off and also with the new Great Gatsby movie coming out we are seeing a big trend in the 20’s decor. The gold and black together with elegant soft flowers is definitely hot right now.
DIANE VON FURSTENBERG
Diane Von Fürstenberg re-launched her fashion company in 1997, with the reintroduction of her famous wrap dress. The company is now a global luxury lifestyle brand offering four complete collections a year. This vignette was modern, fresh and so HOT. From the chevron pattern lighting on the floor to the pops of orange color to the false fire mantel and textured background. It’s hard to see in the picture but their was actually a TV in the fireplace with a burning log playing on the screen with fire popping noises. So cool.
ELPHABA
Elphaba Thropp is a fictional character in Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire, as well as in the Broadway and West End adaptations, Wicked. With the movie OZ the Great and Powerful out right now and the color of the year being Emerald Green this combines both trends to make a pretty cool table. This was our second favorite vignette. I love the emerald tufted walls and the tufted sofa.
RUSTIC LOUNGE
Lounges are so HOT right now! Every event no matter how big or small needs to have a lounge. Furniture rentals have gotten more and more affordable now and are a must for a 2013 wedding. We love the elegant look of this lounge. The rustic antler chandelier and the round metal spears add a classic touch to the vignette. We also loved the use of the round pipe and drape for the bar area. It really created it’s own space in a huge room and create really cool lines.
When we left this event we were in a food coma. The food was amazing and all the caterers did an excellent job. My personal favorite was the mini sliders being cooking on the spot and served with shots of beer. This food station smelled amazing and the presentation was so cute. I have to say duck was also very popular. Almost every caterer had some kind of duck dish being served. I’m not a huge fan of duck but there was some very tasty displays and presentation of it there that I actually tried it. Best Beverage Catering is truly just that. They are the best and served from 10 bars through out the event with all different kinds of drinks. They had custom made ginger beer drinks served in milk shake glasses to cotton candy martinis. The choices were endless and they were all very professional in explaining what was being served. They even served gourmet Jello shots on silver spoons to help guests cleanse their pallet prior to entering the event. It was a great way to walk into an event.
What is a party with out some entertainment. The last stop was the night club area where they had a DJ, lounge furniture, dramatic lighting and a huge screen playing music videos on it. The bathroom entrance had a walkway of LED curtains and candle light making a dramatic entrance and gorgeous setting.
The night eventually had to come to an end. As we were leaving there was a beverage cart rolling around that was offering guests a night cap. Such a great idea. As we stepped outside we were amazed at the gorgeous light show that was going on. As we waited for our valet parked car the lights were changing colors and moving all around bouncing off of the SF fog. Such a cool lasting impression as we were leaving. This event was breathtaking, amazing and inspiring. We hope you were inspired too. Here is a list of all the amazing vendors that made this night happen. You’re all Fabulous!!

We are loving this indoor rustic wedding that took place at the Locust Grove in Georgia. We love how them mixed vintage, rustic and winery all into one. This wedding shows that you can also have a gorgeous ceremony indoors during the winter months. Here is what the bride had to say about her indoor rustic wedding.
From the Bride: “Jason and I dated for 3 years before we were engaged. He proposed on Christmas morning of 2011. We were so excited and began planning our BIG day! December 29, 2012 was the day, and we knew right away we wanted a rustic wine theme. After looking around, we could not find what would fit our theme so we set out to create it. Our families were thrilled and helped us create the wedding of our dreams.
The columns, custom built by my husband and his uncle, framed the fireplace and were capped with asparagus ferns and mason jars with candles. The center aisle was created with wine barrels, lanterns, and mason jars with candles. We continued the rustic theme throughout the bridal and family tables using miss matched wooden chairs. The guest tables were decorated with brown table clothes, burlap overlays, hard wood stumps, moss, mason jars, candles, wine bottles, corks and wild flowers. Hand crafted chalk boards outlined the ceremony and added a unique touch. Our guest book table was an old dresser that we found and refinished with an antique look.
The groomsmen wore chocolate brown tuxedos provided by Katie at Black Tie Formal Wear and the bridesmaids wore sangria dresses by David’s Bridal to add a splash of color. Bouquets were simple and elegant wildflowers wrapped with burlap. Our guests enjoyed a wonderful, authentic Italian dinner prepared by Cakes and Catering by Originals. Our cake was a simple 3 tiered cake with ruffled, rustic icing wrapped with a burlap bow, topped with a simple antique bronzed letter “P” also by Originals. Jim Chester delivered a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony. At the end of the evening our guests were able to take home a bottle of wine, personally made by my husband and myself. We could not be happier with how it all came together!!”

We had to share this adorable styled engagement shoot called “The Journey.” This styled engagement shoot was photographed by William Innes Photography. The bride and groom styled the shoot them self and it was photographed over two days. We love the many different looks they did with the shoot from the photos with the horse and luggage to the glamorous roadside photos in the sequin evening gown. Black leather is also a great look for a shoot as well. We hope you get inspired to think outside the box when it comes to planning your styled engagement shoot.

Paramount Studios Engagement Shoot, who doesn’t dream of that? Dylan and Christine got to relive some of Hollywood’s most famous movies on the Paramount Studios set and we are totally jealous! Here is what their photographer had to say:
“Dylan and Christine met while working for CBS. Since they have both worked on the Paramount Studios Lot, that is where they chose to have their engagement shoot. We started their session at Dylan’s house. The house is located about a block south of the main gate for Paramount Studios. Dylan and Christine are huge San Diego Chargers fans, and so is their dog Cappuccino, so we started out the day getting shots of them all enjoying some football. After a quick wardrobe change we headed over to New York Street on the Paramount Lot, then to the Paramount Theater and then back to NY Street for some Film Noir inspired shots. Such a fun day!” – Says Rustin Cerveny of Rustin Michael Photographers.

Today we bring you a Heirloom Inn wedding in Ione California. Ione is a very small town in the Jackson wine country area. The secret about this town is the adorable Heirloom Inn wedding venue that hides at the town of the town. This small venue has a gorgeous garden to get married in and is a historic location for a wedding reception.
Here is what Teresa Klostermann of Teresak Photography
Nice guys always finish last…that’s how the old saying goes right? Well I’m here to tell you that that sentiment is dead wrong; and, I have proof. Rashele, the blonde beauty with the blazing blue eyes always seemed to be falling for the wrong guys, the typical “bad boys” that some girls just find themselves always drawn to. So when Troy entered her life, her initial reaction was…he’s just too nice. Seriously, what is wrong with us girls sometimes? But Troy, he knew Rashele was the one and he wasn’t about to give up on her. And so a friendship formed, and bloomed into a beautiful relationship. One deeply rooted in trust, love, and respect for one another. You see these two were meant to be, and although it took Rashele a minute or two to figure it out, once she knew, she KNEW.
Rashele and Troy tied the knot in Ione at the Heirloom Inn. It’s a beautiful, lush venue set in the heart of the mother lode area of Northern California. This is a venue I hope to come back to in the future…it just feels like home. And the touches that Rashele put into the wedding were perfect. Her inspiration was the Peacock and you could see those beautiful feathers everywhere! It was the perfect atmosphere for celebrating family, friends, unity and most of all love.

Today we bring you some Twilight Themed Engagement photos that are amazing. We love when Edward and Bella lay in the field and it’s so cute that this couple captured the same feel. These pictures turned out gorgeous and we hope you get inspired to think outside the box with your engagement photos. Thank you to Manda Jean Photography for submitting this pictures. Here is what they had to say about the Twilight Themed Engagement photos:
“This is a fairytale romance with a small-town charm. This engagement session is one of my favorites! Working with these two was amazing and photographing them was even better. It’s crazy how easy your job can become when two people are so in love with each other and all you really have to do is stand back and document. The Bride-to-be wanted a beautiful gallery to go along with the wonderful life that she is about to start. I may have taken these images but the genuine and loving nature these two had for each other was evident before I even picked up the camera.” – said Manda Cmar Rohde of Manda Jean Photography
It’s almost spring time and Grapefruit signature cocktails seem to be the latest trend for weddings. We love this Citizen Hotel wedding and all the vintage touches that the couple included in their wedding. The Citizen Hotel is the perfect location for vintage themed wedding. Thank you to Heather Smith Photography for sharing this wedding. Here is what Heather had to say about the wedding:
“Allan, Emily and… Amalia (Allan’s Daughter) had so been excited for this special day to arrive. Nothing was better then to see the anticipation of this day on all their faces as each part of the set up and details fell into place. One of my favorite moments was when Emily was surprised by Bob from Yuba City Florist with her bouquet of flowers that included the pianese flower which were out of season and difficult to come across. This wedding had so much thought and many details put into this day from Theresa (mother of the groom AND a very special and close friend of myself and my family), Bob (Yuba City Florist), Emily, family & friends. The Citizen Hotel was the perfect place for this vintage wedding to take place and for Allan & Emily to share their special day with family & friends. It was love at first sight for Allan and Emily and after waiting six years nothing could make them happier then to share their love as with friends and family and finally take the next step as a married couple.” Says Heather Smith of Heather Smith Photography.
Today we share with you an adorable baseball engagement shoot that took place in Florida. Here is what the photographer had to say:
“For their engagement session, they decided to do something different and incorporate one of their interest into their pictures. Justin is a big Milwaukee Brewers baseball fan. I was able to reserve some time for our photo shoot at the former Red Sox spring training Stadium in Fort Myers, FL. Wedding planner Along Came Stephanie helped us style the shoot on location. The couple brought along some bats, gloves, and even a jersey. Like many couples planning destination weddings, Justin and Amber had scheduled a trip from out of town to plan their Naples wedding. They only had one day on the schedule for their engagement session, and they ended up getting a cloudy day — we even had some rain… but I think the rainbow made up for it!” Joe Capasso of Joe Capasso Photography.

Well Happy Valentine’s Day! What’s HOTTER on Valentine’s Day then a 50 Shades of Grey Wedding photo shoot! This shoot shows Anastasia and Christian’s wedding x2 – the sweet innocent side and the dark and red side. Which side is your favorite? We hope you have a romantic night tonight and maybe add a little bit of hotness to it! It’s also one of the biggest nights for proposals so if you get engaged tonight remember to keep up to date with the latest trends, best wedding vendors and lots of wedding locations on Engaged Now What?
Today’s trend setting Tuesday is all about the wedding honeymoon pictures. This trend is just taking off. Throw your dirty wedding dress in a bag and throw it on the plane. Have your “Husband” grab a suit and tie and then arrange for a local photographer to capture some amazing wedding pictures of you on your romantic honeymoon. A styled shoot with Hawaii, Mexico or the Bahamas behind you would be breath taking. Wedding honeymoon pictures can be fun and a great way to trash the dress and remember your honeymoon forever. And don’t forget about the proposal too. If your on vacation and your “Fiance” proposes to you think about hiring a photographer the next day to capture your engagement pictures and reenact your proposal. If you plan your shoot on an off day like Tuesday or Wednesday you should be able to hire the photographer for less then a weekend price. We hope you keep wedding honeymoon pictures in mind for your wedding.
“Olga and Dmitry were certainly one of most stylish couples I had the chance to have a photoshoot with. After their wedding in Russia, they chose to come to Santorini for some unique honeymoon photos that they would cherish for the rest of their lives. The concept of the photoshoot had a strong affinity with fashion editorials, since both of the newlyweds shared a keen interest in styling and Olga in particular has a blog dedicated to style and fashion. The wedding dress of the bride was by Pronovias, while the groom wore a dark Moschino suit.” explained the photographer Vangelis Beltzenitis of Vangelis Photography.
“We went to a small native village with beautiful hand painted walls and handmade arts and crafts to capture the bride and groom after their wedding day. Regina and Alejandro also brought their wedding day clothing and put it on for some images before we left. We had a fun time walking around the town and making images. When we saw a military patrol we asked them if we could grab some frames with them. They obliged and we got some very memorable frames.” explained John Argueta of JargaPix Photography.
You can also take amazing pictures like these while on a vacation or at the place you got engaged. Now every time you go on vacation think about hiring a photographer to capture your romantic vacation.
“Anna hired me for a photo walk with her boyfriend while they were on vacation in Italy. Since the morning session had been so great, I offered to meet them again a bit before sunset. While Anna was getting ready Maksim shared his plan to propose and asked if I knew a romantic place. The idea I had was to go to S. Giorgio Island in front of San Marco square and rather free from people despite the nice view, leave the camera on a tripod in video mode and then leave them alone under the excuse of having a phone call to make. This sentence was the agreed keyword for Maksim to start his proposal. What a great moment to be apart of. During the day most of the images were taken in Dorsoduro area of Venice and in the evening we were near Palazzo Ducale and on San Giorgio island ( a good and quiet destination just one ferry stop away from the crowd). – Luca Fazzolari of Luca Faz Photographer in Venice.
Today we bring you a Rincon Beach Club Wedding that is full of lots of details and fleur de lis. With feathers, signature cocktails and bright colors this wedding looked like a good time. The feather centerpieces were tall and bright which added a lot of color. We love the adorable sign asking guests to ditch their shoes for the ceremony. Erin and Wesley became a combined family on their wedding day. They have a little baby girl together and on the wedding day, Erin became stepmother to Wes’s daughter. The day was filled with lots of emotion and love. We love beach weddings and we love this Rincon Beach Club wedding.Thank you to Bycherry Photography for sharing this.
