This bride and groom gave up the windy city of Chicago to have their dream wedding on the shore of Lake of Tahoe. Jen often visited Tahoe a lot in college when she lived in San Francisco. They would often come up for the weekend to go snowboarding or swim during summer at the lake. There is a very small beach by Cal Neva Resort called Speedboat beach. Jen use to swim there often with her friends and one day when she was there she saw a wedding taking place at the big blue house that is right above the beach. She always dreamed of getting married there. When she met Nicolas she knew he was the one and so they explored following her dream and finding out more about the blue house on the beach. Since she didn’t know very much about it she started to call a few wedding planner to find out if they knew about the blue house. When Jen called Fearon DeWeese of Fearon May Events and explained what she was looking for and Fearon knew exactly what she was talking about. Fearon’s family cabin was right down the street and Fearon too swam at the beach as a kid and had always dreamed of getting married at that venue as well. It was a match made in Wedding Coordination dreams.
“I was so excited to plan this wedding because for years I had wanted to see the inside of this house. The house can sleep 26 people and is right on the beach. It was the perfect location for a small destination wedding. These Chicago people can really party too. After many phone calls, e-mails and a few Skype meetings with the bride and groom it was so great to see their dreams come to life and to be a part of their special day.” – Fearon DeWeese, Fearon May Events.
From the Bride: When your planning a destination wedding or any wedding for that matter, make sure to hire a wedding planner. On the day of the wedding I didn’t think twice about anything. I was never stressed and had soooo much fun the entire day and night. I was actually swimming and hanging out with friends all morning because I knew Fearon was there taking charge, both before and after the wedding. I didn’t lift a finger or even think twice about things getting done or running smoothly. Literally–nothing went even slightly wrong. Everything was perfect because I had a wedding planner.
