Today we bring to you a DIY engagement photo shoot beautifully captured by Bethany Carlson Photography. This couple’s engagement session took place in the golden fields of Livermore, California where they took advantage of the lovely countryside, abandoned farm house, trees, and even the power line towers for a backdrop. One of the most unique aspects of these photos were all of the Do-It-Yourself little touches that Bethany Carlson made/brought along to the shoot. We especially love the wishing tree that was created with basic tags, clips and written love notes! You don’t need to find big, extravagant projects to make for your shoot… as you can see in these pictures, even some old books, or wooden letters look great and help to add variety to your photos. Making use of a fun old chair, such as the red velvet one this couple used, offers loads of new poses and ideas to create beautiful works of art. Head to a local thrift or vintage store to find some fun little props or DIY project to add some personality to your photo shoot!
