It’s time to share with you our favorites from the Academy Awards Red Carpet 2014. This is the HOTTEST award show of the year and the one we can’t wait for! This one was definitely a great year in films and so many great actors and actresses to choose from. As we always do, we like to find the dresses that stood out on the carpet and could be making their way into the wedding world. Styles and inspiration for dresses are often pulled straight from the designers of the red carpet. Here is what we found this year. What was your favorite dress on the Academy Awards Red Carpet in 2014?
Blush was definitely a popular color this year on the red carpet. This is also a color we are seeing in a lot of weddings as well this year. It’s being paired with blends of pink and shades of mint. Most of these dresses also were covered with sequins and beading. We love all the bling!
We loved all this cream with gold accents as well. On the far right Portia’s dress was stunning in a Naeem Khan dress with “Peekaboo Lace” cut outs which we are also seeing as a wedding trend this year.
Silver, white and fringe! The sparkle of these gowns turned heads on the red carpet and caught our eye.
Black is always a slimming color in any dress. We loved Julia Roberts lace dress. It could be a great Mother of the Bride dress as well.
Jennifer Lawrence and Kristin Chenoweth who both looked stunning.
There were also some amazingly HOT guys on the carpet as well!
White coats made a traditional comeback this year on the carpet as well. We think this could be a hot new trend for grooms planning a more formal attire wedding.
Royal blue is a great color to pop on red and looked stunning on Amy and Sandra. Kevin Spacey and Jason Sudeikis were the only two rocking the blue suit at the Oscars.
Can I also add how cute these two are. One of the cutest couples of the night!

Jimmy Kimmel, Anna Kendrick and Liza Minnelli. What were they thinking!?!
And the winners for best dressed go to………
Well, for best couple these two look like they could be possibly on their way to their wedding. Both dresses would make perfect wedding gowns, and what lucky lady wouldn’t want to walk down the aisle to these two studs?
2nd runner up goes to Charlize. This was one of our favorites of the night! Charlize Theron is always stunning and one we keep our eye on when walking the red carpet.
1st Runner up goes to Cate Blanchette in this stunning romantic cap-sleeved Armani gown.
And our best dressed of the night…….KATE HUDSON! How gorgeous is this gown by Versace with a matching cape. It’s jaw dropping and could be a very gorgeous wedding gown. WE LOVED IT!!!
