Everybody loves good food and wine but many people can remember attending weddings where these two elements have totally failed. The team at The Wedding Wow present the infographic below that offers great examples of food and wine pairings for your wedding. From the sparkling wines such as Veuve Borodin and the French equivalent of Prosecco, Cremant de Limoux, to Italian, Spanish and French reds such as Orobiol and I Colombi San Giovesi, that are well matched with lamb, duck or cheese. The selection, curated by Roberson Wine, focuses on quality at a great value and counts on lesser known producers and varieties of types from Champagne to Sauvignon Blanc and from Granache to Tempranillo.
This was a beautiful wedding on a beautiful day at Mint Springs Farm, a relatively new venue near Nashville. The bride and groom play softball together. She played in college and he played college baseball. While the bride and bridesmaids were getting their pictures taken, the groomsmen rehearsed a surprise number to break out before the garter toss at the reception. A Justin Beiber song started playing and suddenly they were all dancing in sync and backing up the groom who was singing in front. They even launched the groom about 7 feet into the air at one point! The newlyweds ended the evening with a sparkler grand exit.

For their engagement photos Dickson knew one thing – he wanted to recapture the day that Tammy said yes. To do that, they needed to return to Napa Valley, where they were on holiday when he proposed.
Tammy and Dickson met on the bus for a ski trip a mutual friend had organized to Kicking Horse, but it wasn’t until after dark, when they were the only ones left on the mountain & daring each other on while practicing moguls that the sparks started flying for Dickson, who won Tammy over by going over to her place & serenading her on the piano.
On a holiday to Napa Valley they booked a hot air balloon ride, which was unfortunately cancelled. But they’d made the drive down and decided to spend the day exploring the beautiful wineries and countryside of Napa before coming across Shakespeare in the Park while walking around the town centre. For two foodies, that they forgot to eat dinner showed what an amazing day they were having! Dickson, who isn’t the one who dawdles, started dawdling as they were walking over a bridge at sunset. He got down on one knee & proposed.

These highschool sweethearts had a beautiful summer ceremony on the Little Creek Golf Course in South Charleston, WV. You can imagine the excitement they both must have felt on this day after having been together so long! Photographer Kelly Broyles shares their special love story:
“Joey & Jenn are the definition of first & true love. They met the spring of their Freshman year of high school in Joey’s neighborhood where Jenn’s grandparents also lived. In traditional high school fashion one of the neighbor kids told Jenn that Joey thought she was cute and they began to “talk” and dated for 3 months. Sadly their relationship did not last and during Sophomore year they broke up. Fast forward to the summer before Senior year of high school (2006) and they started to talk again, talking led to a relationship and they have been together since.
In August 2012 Joey took Jenn to Hilton Head, SC for vacation. The first night of their vacation and after sitting in 9 hours of horrific traffic, Joey made Jenn pick a restaurant for dinner. She wondered why they were going to dinner after they had been traveling and were both exhausted. Finally they settled on a restaurant called Little Venice. The restaurant was completely empty! Throughout dinner Joey acted completely normal until it was time for the check to come when he looked at her and said, “Well Jenn, we’ve been together for a long time now… and I want to be with you the rest of my life. Will you marry me?” Jenn’s first reaction was to scream, “It’s about freaking time!” but decided instead to settle for a simple “Yes!”

This bohemian summer wedding took place in the beautiful outdoors of Wisconsin. Even with the vibrant yellow accents and bridesmaids dresses, nothing outshines the love you can see so clearly on the bride and groom’s faces. They showed the world their unique love for one another with every little detail from their non traditional wedding bands, fun up beat first dance, and vegetarian southwest food.

This beautiful Southern wedding was held at an old plantation home with the reception in a vintage barnhouse with open wood beam ceilings. The couple traveled all the way from Atlanta to be wed at Goodwood Museum and Gardens in Tallahassee, Florida, where white roses, candles, miniature pine cones, and old wrapped books adorned the tables. After the candlelit reception the couple exited in an old-fashioned “just married” convertible for their happily ever after!

Glamorous is the only word to describe this event with it’s pink accents and touches of sparkle throughout. Jungle Island in Miami was the perfect venue for this couples’ reception which included performers and even wild animals as entertainment. With the groom being a football agent, the couple also found some fun and creative ways to incorporate their love for the sport into their special day. One of our favorite parts was the dessert bar with its variety of delicious looking pink and purple treats as well as, of course, football cupcakes!

Desiree and Michael share with us their passion for travel as they approach their destination wedding in the Dominican Republic. This session was travel inspired to say the least! The cute planes and props didn’t steal the spotlight off of Desiree and Michael’s enduring love, though. Their affection isn’t forced or stiff, but flows like the breeze. They love to travel and most of all make memories – memories and photos that tell the story of their love and their lives being built together. Marley, their adorable little fashionista, is right alongside them ready to share in the adventure too.

Q. Please tell us about your engagement story!
A. A little over a year later after Casey and Kristin Met, Kristin’s Dad Scott took a bike tune up class from Casey at Venture North, the non-profit bike shop Casey manages. After the first three hour class the students were packing up upstairs and Casey asked Scott Sundet for a ride home.
“Didn’t you ride your fat-bike here?” Asked Scott Palmer, Casey’s cousin.
“Shut up Palmer” thought Casey.
In the car on Glenwood the conversation went like this.
“Scott I want to marry your daughter.”
“Are ya sure?”
Casey was beginning to see a theme. Was he sure like he didn’t know what he was getting himself into or was he sure like what the hell was taking him so long?
So they went out right then and there for a celebratory beer at Cooper, a pub near to the Metropolitan Ballroom.
Later that night, with a diamond ring burning a hole in Casey’s pocket it began to snow. Kristin was flying in from a business trip and Casey waited for her in the driveway. He shoveled the April snow. Then shoveled again. Then paced tracks in the snow. Kristin drives like a really old lady when there is any snow on the ground. It would be a minute.
She rolled up the house he’d fixed up for her. Kristin didn’t want to get out of the car. Heated seats on a snowy night will do that. But when she finally did she found Casey on one knee in the freshly shoveled driveway. He barely got the words out and she hopped right on that knee with that great big Norwegian smile and a kiss that said yes.

Today we bring you a unique wedding in Ybor City with lots of fun details including feathers and bow ties. The beautiful photography was captured by Sunglow Photography. Here is what the bride and groom had to say:
Bride: What are you most excited about for the wedding?
I am most excited that getting married means I never have to say goodbye to my very best friend and the end of our wedding is the beginning of our forever.
Groom: What are you most excited about for the wedding?
I’m excited about what this day brings. It’s a fresh start. It’s means having what I’ve always wanted and needed. It’s the day where I’ll finally be married to the woman of my dreams.
Describe the vision you have for the wedding day?
A fun day for family and friends as they celebrate love and the start of something new with us.
Any additional information you would like me to be made aware of?
Ross and I are getting married in the same place that he planned our elaborate surprise engagement that he got over 100 of our friends and family to be a part of. It was everything I had ever dreamed. Also, this will be shared in the ceremony – when Niki was 16 her parents gave her a purity ring that she wore as a promise to remain pure before God: physically, mentally, and emotionally. She wore that ring until Ross proposed to her, but the promise did not change. We hope to inspire the students we teach and lead each week in our church that purity is possible when you put your trust in God.
