We had to share this adorable styled engagement shoot called “The Journey.” This styled engagement shoot was photographed by William Innes Photography. The bride and groom styled the shoot them self and it was photographed over two days. We love the many different looks they did with the shoot from the photos with the horse and luggage to the glamorous roadside photos in the sequin evening gown. Black leather is also a great look for a shoot as well. We hope you get inspired to think outside the box when it comes to planning your styled engagement shoot.

Paramount Studios Engagement Shoot, who doesn’t dream of that? Dylan and Christine got to relive some of Hollywood’s most famous movies on the Paramount Studios set and we are totally jealous! Here is what their photographer had to say:
“Dylan and Christine met while working for CBS. Since they have both worked on the Paramount Studios Lot, that is where they chose to have their engagement shoot. We started their session at Dylan’s house. The house is located about a block south of the main gate for Paramount Studios. Dylan and Christine are huge San Diego Chargers fans, and so is their dog Cappuccino, so we started out the day getting shots of them all enjoying some football. After a quick wardrobe change we headed over to New York Street on the Paramount Lot, then to the Paramount Theater and then back to NY Street for some Film Noir inspired shots. Such a fun day!” – Says Rustin Cerveny of Rustin Michael Photographers.
Today we bring you an Arden Hills wedding which is one of our favorite locations in Sacramento. The Arden Hills wedding took place during the winter with the ceremony in the East Terrace Room and reception in the Heritage room. The pictures from their ceremony really show that you can still have a beautiful indoor wedding during the winter months. Here is what the photographer had to say:
“Theirs is a story of two best friends, whose relationship blossomed into true love. I can see it in their eyes; I can see it in the eyes of their parents as well. And I hope when you look at these images you see it as well.
Justin comes from a long line of law enforcement…his father, his grandfather, and now officially, him (congratulations on the job in LA Justin). It takes a very special person to serve in those kinds of jobs and I appreciate everything they do for us. And Briana, well all you have to do is look at her and you know exactly why Justin fell in love. One smile from this girl and I don’t care who you are, I dare you to not to fall in love with her. And yes, they are both just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside.” – says Teresa Klostermann of Teresak Photography

Today’s Trend Setting Tuesday is all about simplicity and a Breakfast in Bed Engagement Shoot. Not everything has to always be so glitz and glamorous. We are seeing a lot more simplicity style shoots to really help show who the bride and groom really are. Sure you can dress up and do something fun that you don’t normally do but we wanted to show you this adorable shoot and how it really captures this couple. Who knew your everyday routines and something as simple as breakfast in bed can tell such a great story through the camera lens.
Here is what the photographer had to say: “We had a fantastic time shooting Carlotta and Andrea’s beloved session! Carlotta’s mum is the owner of “Pentolino”, a famous shop in Bologna, well known for the original stuff it sells, so their house was full of beautiful details we were really happy to photograph! The atmosphere was cozy and spontaneous, Carlotta and Andrea are such a cute couple and they were so willing to do anything! We started with some portraits and then they let us photograph them during a pillow fight – who knew so many feathers could come out of one pillow!” says Serena Cevenini of A click for two of Bologna Italy.

We also love the birch wood wedding cake and cute little birds that sat on top. Thank you to Bycherry Photography for sharing another great wedding.

Today we bring you a Heirloom Inn wedding in Ione California. Ione is a very small town in the Jackson wine country area. The secret about this town is the adorable Heirloom Inn wedding venue that hides at the town of the town. This small venue has a gorgeous garden to get married in and is a historic location for a wedding reception.
Here is what Teresa Klostermann of Teresak Photography
Nice guys always finish last…that’s how the old saying goes right? Well I’m here to tell you that that sentiment is dead wrong; and, I have proof. Rashele, the blonde beauty with the blazing blue eyes always seemed to be falling for the wrong guys, the typical “bad boys” that some girls just find themselves always drawn to. So when Troy entered her life, her initial reaction was…he’s just too nice. Seriously, what is wrong with us girls sometimes? But Troy, he knew Rashele was the one and he wasn’t about to give up on her. And so a friendship formed, and bloomed into a beautiful relationship. One deeply rooted in trust, love, and respect for one another. You see these two were meant to be, and although it took Rashele a minute or two to figure it out, once she knew, she KNEW.
Rashele and Troy tied the knot in Ione at the Heirloom Inn. It’s a beautiful, lush venue set in the heart of the mother lode area of Northern California. This is a venue I hope to come back to in the future…it just feels like home. And the touches that Rashele put into the wedding were perfect. Her inspiration was the Peacock and you could see those beautiful feathers everywhere! It was the perfect atmosphere for celebrating family, friends, unity and most of all love.

The best night in Hollywood happened last night as the 85th Academy Awards aired with host Seth MacFarlane. The Academy Awards Red Carpet 2013 was filled with lots of sparkle. Everything from sequins gowns to hand beaded dresses. There really wasn’t a worst dressed this year or a dress that you just hated. Everyone looked so stunning. The Academy Awards Red Carpet 2013 had all the A-Listers you could imagine and they all looked so glamorous. We are huge fans of Ben Affleck and him winning for Argo was the best part of the show. He might not have been nominated for best Director but winning best picture totally made up for it. I would guess most of Hollywood is just now waking up from the amazing parties they got to attend last night. I guess the rest of us just have to say good bye to the 2013 award season. See you next year red carpet!
The beaded dress sparkled on the red carpet this year and was worn by Adele, Amanda Seyfried, Sandra Bullock, and Jessica Chastain to name a few.
The sequins dress was also very popular and was worn by Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jennifer Hudson, Nicole Kidman and Halle Berry which really sparkled on the red carpet.
We also loved these dresses worn by Kerry Washington, Kelly Osbourne, Reese Witherspoon, and Salma Hayek.
The look of the night for the guys was a defiantly a scruffy one. Most of them all rocked the beard on the red carpet this year. Do you like the look or not? Would you let your groom rock a beard to your wedding?
The Academy Awards have got to be one of the best date nights you could have. These are some of our favorite couples of the night.
We have to say the best dressed couple was George and Stacy. I’m in love with the dress she is wearing.
And now for the best dressed! We couldn’t narrow it down to one because we loved so many. So here are our top five dresses!
Zoe Saldana and Charlize Theron both wore white and looked amazing.
We are so happy the adorable Jennifer Lawrence won best actress and we also love the dress she wore even if it made her trip going up the stage.
Amy Adams looked so glamorous in this dress. It’s the perfect color and we think it would be an amazing wedding gown.
I would have to say this amazing gown Naomi Watts is wearing is really my favorite. I love the cut, the color, the sparkle, the whole thing. What was your favorite dress?
Once again congratulations Ben Affleck and the cast of Argo.

Today we bring you some Twilight Themed Engagement photos that are amazing. We love when Edward and Bella lay in the field and it’s so cute that this couple captured the same feel. These pictures turned out gorgeous and we hope you get inspired to think outside the box with your engagement photos. Thank you to Manda Jean Photography for submitting this pictures. Here is what they had to say about the Twilight Themed Engagement photos:
“This is a fairytale romance with a small-town charm. This engagement session is one of my favorites! Working with these two was amazing and photographing them was even better. It’s crazy how easy your job can become when two people are so in love with each other and all you really have to do is stand back and document. The Bride-to-be wanted a beautiful gallery to go along with the wonderful life that she is about to start. I may have taken these images but the genuine and loving nature these two had for each other was evident before I even picked up the camera.” – said Manda Cmar Rohde of Manda Jean Photography

Today we bring you an adorable teal and orange wedding at Rincon Beach Club that has lots of little details. We love how this couple used a book called SNOG as their guests book which had a guide to puppy love in it. The guests were treated to fresh lemonade served in mason jars as they arrived. Chocolate favor boxes sat at each place setting for the guests to take home with them. We also love these bright colors of teal and orange together and the way they incorporated it into the bridesmaids dresses and flowers. The perfect pop of color. Thank you to Bycherry Photography for sharing this teal and orange wedding with us.
It’s almost spring time and Grapefruit signature cocktails seem to be the latest trend for weddings. We love this Citizen Hotel wedding and all the vintage touches that the couple included in their wedding. The Citizen Hotel is the perfect location for vintage themed wedding. Thank you to Heather Smith Photography for sharing this wedding. Here is what Heather had to say about the wedding:
“Allan, Emily and… Amalia (Allan’s Daughter) had so been excited for this special day to arrive. Nothing was better then to see the anticipation of this day on all their faces as each part of the set up and details fell into place. One of my favorite moments was when Emily was surprised by Bob from Yuba City Florist with her bouquet of flowers that included the pianese flower which were out of season and difficult to come across. This wedding had so much thought and many details put into this day from Theresa (mother of the groom AND a very special and close friend of myself and my family), Bob (Yuba City Florist), Emily, family & friends. The Citizen Hotel was the perfect place for this vintage wedding to take place and for Allan & Emily to share their special day with family & friends. It was love at first sight for Allan and Emily and after waiting six years nothing could make them happier then to share their love as with friends and family and finally take the next step as a married couple.” Says Heather Smith of Heather Smith Photography.
Today we share with you an adorable baseball engagement shoot that took place in Florida. Here is what the photographer had to say:
“For their engagement session, they decided to do something different and incorporate one of their interest into their pictures. Justin is a big Milwaukee Brewers baseball fan. I was able to reserve some time for our photo shoot at the former Red Sox spring training Stadium in Fort Myers, FL. Wedding planner Along Came Stephanie helped us style the shoot on location. The couple brought along some bats, gloves, and even a jersey. Like many couples planning destination weddings, Justin and Amber had scheduled a trip from out of town to plan their Naples wedding. They only had one day on the schedule for their engagement session, and they ended up getting a cloudy day — we even had some rain… but I think the rainbow made up for it!” Joe Capasso of Joe Capasso Photography.
Event Planner: Along Came Stephanie
Today we are so excited to show you this extravagant Westin Cincinnati wedding. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous! From the bridesmaids dresses to the wedding cake, we loved it all. Here is what the photographer had to say:
“The couple is a prominent Cincinnati couple, they own a restaurant in the downtown area, they were married at the Westin Cincinnati. The groom was wearing a custom D&G tux, the groomsmen gifts were Tag Heuer watches…7 of them. The bridesmaids gifts included Kate Spade and Tiffany. The extraordinary details go on and on but in the mist of all of the extravagance the thing I noticed most was how much James and Renee are in LOVE!! This is an amazing couple who also clearly value their friends, and family over everything. They are amazing, down to earth people who really know how to throw a killer party!” Says Eric Vail of Vail Studio Photography.
