I am lucky that I have a sister that is not only my sister but my best friend. We have grown up so close together and have always celebrated our birthdays together. We are only 3 days and 3 years apart in age and Gemini twins through and through. I love her to death and am so lucky to have her in my life. Happy Birthday Sister!!!
For my cousin’s bachelorette party we went to South Lake Tahoe for a week-long trip with all the women in my family. We wanted to do something really fun for my cousin that was appropriated for everyone that was there. Since we had all ages ranging from 61 to 23 I wanted to find something that we all could have a good time with. The thought of a stripper was a little embarrassing with your mom there and there really wasn’t anything like a Thunder Down Under show to go to either. After doing some research on line I found Shake, Rattle and Pole. This is a mobile stripper class that comes to you. It doesn’t matter where you are staying whether a hotel or a rental home she come and brings the pole and does a fun workshop for all the ladies. I called Edee and after talking to here on the phone for a while she was so personable and friendly and assured me it would be a great time for all. We left it as a surprise for my cousin and arranged for Edee to just knock on the door. It was a great surprise and my cousin loved it.
Edee taught us several dance lessons and we all had such a great time. It was great for all ages and we definitely laughed a lot. Edee is hilarious and made everyone feel comfortable. She never pressured anyone and if they wanted to sit out a move they could. It was totally worth the cost and it was a great night in for all of us. It is something we will all remember since I think it is the one and only time I will ever see my mom on a stripper pole. I personally recommend Shake Rattle & Pole for any bachelorette party. Edee is also willing to travel to all areas so if you’re looking for something fun in the Sacramento area or beyond ask her about pricing.

We grew up spending our summers on Catalina Island, so when ever we see a Catalina Island wedding we just have to share it. When you think of Catalina, most think of the famous landmark of the Catalina Casino which is the round building you see in every picture. We used to dream of getting married there and have always loved the gorgeous ballroom they have there. This island is know as the “Island of Romance” so of course it’s the perfect location for a destination wedding.

Soon after we got engaged we began looking up venues and Catalina Island came quickly too our minds, but we sort of dismissed it thinking it would be too much to ask of our guests to travel over. During this planning period we went to our dear friends wedding in Costa Rica and had the time of our lives. Not only was the wedding picture perfect, but because a large group of our friends were there together we got to go on adventures together and the wedding at the end of the trip was the icing on the cake. After that we realized the friends and family who love you will go that extra mile to be there for your wedding. Not only that, but one of the things I love the most about a destination wedding is that it allows you to relish a little bit longer in the magical time of your wedding.
